Mr. Coker was raised in Olympia and graduated from North Thurston High School in 1988. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1992 with a B.S. in Biology, and graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law cum laude in 1998. While in law school, Mr. Coker clerked at both the Washington State Attorney General's Office and the United States Attorney's Office, where he practiced criminal and civil litigation. During law school, he also coached track at Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, and was a varsity football coach at North Thurston High School.
Mr. Coker is admitted to practice in both state and federal jurisdictions, and is an active member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and part-time instructor in the Paralegal Program at the Pierce Community College. Mr. Coker is married and has three children.
Mr. Coker's practice is diverse, with experience in both criminal and civil litigation. Additionally, he serves as a pro-tem Judge for the Cities of Olympia and Tumwater. He currently represents a broad range of small to mid-size local businesses, as well as numerous individuals and small cities. His business clients include the Washington Federation of State Employees, Pacific Marble & Granite, MVP Athletics, and Capital Sheet Metal. While Mr. Coker's areas of practice are diverse, he emphasizes in the areas of Real Property Law, Employment Law, Administrative Law and General Civil Litigation.
